Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Status: Permanent Full-time

Roles and Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Management / Purchasing Responsibilities

  • Select suppliers for purchased products/services and support QA with supplier qualification.
  • Maintain Traferox Approved Supplier List and alternate sources; complete supply risk checks.
  • Coordinate with brokers and freight forwarders for pricing and service.
  • Create POs, obtain approvals, send to suppliers, and follow up on PO acceptance, confirmations, and delivery dates.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering with production planning and material availability to meet the production schedule.
  • Review BOMs and part drawings to confirm required components are ordered.

Logistics & Shipping Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all inbound/outbound shipments: supplier and customer pickups, courier (UPS and others), LTL/FTL, and overseas/import-export shipments.
  • Prepare shipping documentation (packing lists, commercial invoices, customs paperwork) and coordinate with freight forwarders/brokers.
  • Track shipments end-to-end and resolve exceptions (delays, damage, customs holds) and claims as needed.
  • Certified Dangerous Goods (DG) shipper: classify, pack, mark/label, and complete DG documentation per applicable regulations; coordinate carrier DG requirements.

Inventory Control, ERP, and Reporting Responsibilities

  • Review the BOM in Empower and compare it to the BOM in Sage ("Purchasing BOM").
  • Analyze inventory movements in Sage to understand the type and impact of each movement.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies by comparing Excel count sheets with movements recorded in Sage.
  • Generate inventory count sheets; coordinate cycle counts.
  • Determine counting groups and schedules (e.g., Albumin and empty bottles monthly; McMaster items quarterly).
  • Build SEI reports (e.g., tracking customer usage per product).
  • Implement CR changes and assess impact on stock, open POs, scrap, and supplier communications.
  • Track supplier confirmation dates in Sage and evaluate effect on planned work orders

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in procurement operations and supply chain strategy.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
  • Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments (courier/UPS, freight, and import-export) and shipment documentation.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint expertise is required. 
  • Experience with ERP systems is required
  • Experience with medical technology is desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Certified DG shipper; working knowledge of DG documentation and carrier requirements.  
  • Strong working knowledge of logistics (courier, freight, and international shipping) and shipment documentation.
  • Comfortable building and using ERP/reporting outputs (Sage/SEI experience is an asset) for planning and inventory accuracy.
