DescriptionAs a Supply Chain Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring materials flow seamlessly through our supply chain. Your mission: maintain material availability, optimize inventory levels, and support production schedules to meet customer demand. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, offering opportunities to collaborate across teams and contribute to critical project milestones.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex variables to identify root causes and implement corrective actions, especially for high-budget, long-lead materials.
- Aggregate demand requirements and assign supply priorities to ensure material availability across operations.
- Generate routine reports to detect and resolve issues proactively; maintain system data integrity and track KPIs.
- Execute strategic material planning initiatives and improvement projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and planning teams to achieve zero-late and zero-defect performance.
- Represent the Materials team in meetings, providing updates on material performance and issue resolution.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline (preferred).
- 3–5 years in supply chain or inventory management.
- Professional certifications (CITT, SCMP, P.Log, PMP, etc.) considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
