The Supplier Quality Cost Operations Leader role is designed to drive execution for cost actions that the Integrated Manufacturing Quality team has for cost projects linked to the Procurement and Sourcing Management team. The Supplier Quality Cost Operations Leader will work across the total T&O team and understand current project status, where quality resources are required and at which supplier to execute actions and own the Daily Management System for the Supplier Quality Collaborative Cost team to ensure actions are completed on time and that there are paths for escalation when needed.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work within policies, procedures, processes and regulations that align with both Industry and GE quality standards, including APQP deployment
  • Build and own the daily management system, identify PPI’s that measure the process effectively and develop a daily visual management tool using FLIGHT DECK principles
  • Own resource planning for the team of Supplier Quality Operations engineers based on project status, project priority and help needed to execute project activities
  • Support PSM and Product line project management cadences to ensure project priorities are aligned and communications to stakeholders are clear
  • Using available data from various T&O systems, develop process to value and prioritize current manufacturing changes to find incremental productivity opportunities
  • Act as a facilitator for escalations from the team and work across the matrix to remove barriers to effective execution.
  • Proven interpersonal skills. Communication with peers, working teams and various levels of leadership internally and externally essential for successful execution.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or institution (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing)
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain Manufacturing, Design Engineering or Repair Engineering
