DESCRIPTION:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Supply Chain Supervisor and contribute to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
As Supervisor, Supply Chain, you will lead day-to-day warehouse execution to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time material flow that supports manufacturing and customer delivery commitments. You will supervise a team of warehouse associates/material handlers and flex across Inventory, Shipping, Receiving, Distribution, Picking, and Staging based on operational needs. This role provides leadership coverage across various shifts and ensures effective shift handoffs and continuity of service.
What You Will Do
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or materials management preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of experience required.
• Additional relevant certifications in supply chain, logistics, or quality management a plus
• Experience managing and developing teams in a manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and supply chain processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PPI)
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making
• Knowledge of import/export compliance and global trade regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and supply chain management software
• Ability to work in a matrix organization and international environment
• Experience with inventory management and material planning
• Fluent English communication skills (both written and spoken)
• Strong customer service orientation with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements
• Experience implementing change management initiatives and process improvements
