Superintendent Operations

We are looking for a Superintendent of Operations to join our team and support the Agricultural Ingredients business in Deming, New Mexico. You will serve as the primary supervisor for all facility-wide activities as well as primary administrative responsibilities on a given shift. This position is the highest acting authority on site during off hours. Primary area of focus is to ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product quality levels and a safe working environment.

What you’ll do:  

• Assure efficient use of staff and equipment to meet production needs while maintaining cost and overtime to a minimum
• Assists in maintaining, creating, and enforcing accurate policies and procedures across entire facility
• Foster a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing all safety policies and regulations
• Analyzes area operations and recommends measures for continuous improvement. Also supports and promotes employee involvement in continuous improvement programs
• Provides leadership and direction via good communication skills
• Works with the Production Manager, Plant Manager, and Quality Supervisor to improve production efficiency and product quality within required specifications

• Proficient with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems

About Sensient Agricultural Ingredients

Sensient Agricultural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Agricultural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California.
