DESCRIPTION:
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute to global healthcare, environmental protection, and scientific advancement. As a Senior Supply Chain Specialist, you'll implement strategic initiatives to optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations. You'll evaluate and improve master data quality, develop capacity planning models, implement process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to manage significant projects while working with advanced supply chain technologies and analytics tools. You'll partner with teams across multiple sites to support innovation and excellence in our supply chain operations.
Location: This is a remote position in the US.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screen.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in supply chain management, materials planning, or related field
• Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
• APICS certifications (CPIM, CSCP) preferred
• Six Sigma/Lean certification preferred
• Strong expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and advanced planning tools
• Demonstrated experience managing process improvement initiatives and implementing supply chain solutions
• Advanced analytical and data visualization skills (Power BI, Excel)
• Strong project management capabilities with proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and MRP/DRP concepts
• Experience with data-driven decision making and performance metrics development
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to build consensus across global teams
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
• Proficiency in analyzing complex data sets and developing actionable insights
• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective time management abilities
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $103,100.00–$135,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
