Our Opportunity: 

Restaurant Brands International is looking for a Senior Manager, Retail Planning & Inventory, Tim Hortons, Canada.  This individual will lead Demand Planning & Inventory Management for the Tims Retail Merchandise business across all sales channels including Tim Hortons Brick & Mortar Restaurants, Ecommerce (TimShop.ca), and Wholesale accounts.  As a critical member of our rapidly growing Tims Retail business, you’ll have the opportunity to define & shape the OMNI Planning function that is scaling to new levels to support our journey to becoming an iconic Canadian retail lifestyle brand. 

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in forecasting & inventory planning that is also hungry to demonstrate their entrepreneurial mindset and overall business acumen.  With our big growth ambitions for Tims Retail, there will also be opportunities to tackle new strategic projects and continuously stretch the scope of this role as our Retail business evolves. This is a great opportunity for someone that can provide leadership with their OMNI forecasting & inventory planning expertise while also taking on initiatives that will bring new tools, frameworks, and OMNI operating models to drive Retail business growth for Tims.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Lead SKU level forecasting for new Retail collection assortments, promotions, markdowns, and inventory replenishment buys
  • Provide inventory allocation recommendations to TH restaurants and optimize the allocation strategy by program to maximize sales, sell through, and franchisee profit
  • Manage inventory and product lifecycle performance across channels by tracking in-season sell through, post promo run rates, markdown performance, and DC stock levels. 
  • Advocate for new inventory buys, clearance & discounting tactics, and other inventory risk mitigation measures to drive sales & cost efficiencies
  • Implement & analyze KPIs to assess OMNI planning performance such as inventory turn rates, shrink, residual stock mix, forecast accuracy, and margin / EBITDA achievement
  • Scope & build business cases for new OMNI planning models, systems, and tools to drive efficiencies and cost/time savings
  • Manage the Retail team Ad Fund by setting the annual budget, tracking ongoing initiatives & spending, and forecasting ongoing requirements
  • Collaborate closely with a range of key stakeholders including Category & Channel Managers, Visual Merchandising, Operations, Supply Chain, and Restaurant Owners
  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Skills: 

  • Post-secondary degree with 3-5 years of Retail industry experience in Demand Planning and Inventory Management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills along with experience in SAP, Business Objects, Tableau, or comparable Business Intelligence software tools highly preferred
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic business recommendations
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels by concisely compiling and presenting complex information in a clear but impactful manner
  • You’re resilient and thrive in a fast-paced environment with ability to drive projects forward with a sense of urgency and thoughtfulness
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
