We have a great opportunity for a Sr. Director, IKC CKD Operations on DaVita Integrated Kidney Care (DaVita IKC).

DaVita Integrated Kidney Care (DaVita IKC) is one of the largest end-to-end kidney care providers; we manage $5.5B+ in annualized medical spend through value-based partnerships. We provide comprehensive care and complex chronic condition management to 80k+ patients nationwide, whether they are in the early stages of kidney disease, transitioning to dialysis, seeking a kidney transplant or receiving life-sustaining dialysis.

The Sr. Director leads the strategic development and operational execution of new models of care for chronic kidney disease (CKD) Medicare Advantage (MA) patients. This role accomplishes company objectives by supervising the daily operations of a team, overseeing managers with overall responsibility for front-line teammates, while improving systems and processes to advance our overall operational effectiveness. They participate in budget development and have budget accountability. This position will manage more than one program and/or will have at least one Director report to them or will manage a national initiative in addition to operational responsibilities.


 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the team. Responsible for performance development, performance management, retention, team assignments, and teammate relations. Work directly with your managers to create a sustained culture which drives patient safety, compliance, and outcomes.
  • Oversee the achievement of critical quality and performance measures, including STARs metrics such as hypertension and diabetes control, medication adherence, nephrologist visits, and optimal starts. Drive continuous operating improvements and quality performance of operating metrics, including clinical outcomes, productivity, staffing, and budget. Maintain awareness and knowledge of assigned market and participate in internal and external business development meetings.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive patient and physician engagement strategies to drive program participation. This includes educating local physicians and cultivating relationships that drive alignment on program and patient outcomes, expanding clinical and business relationships with existing and new physician partners.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration with Analytics, IT, Operations, Legal, clinical teams, and other business leaders (Finance, People Services, Strategy, Quality) to ensure the successful launch, growth, and execution of the program. Lead critical projects, track progress, and prepare presentations for senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous innovation by piloting new technologies and care delivery models to advance program effectiveness and improve the patient experience. Work across operational and innovation teams to advance best-in-class capabilities in the market.
  • Manage and oversee the DaVita IKC program, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and DaVita policies. Monitor risk management and quality assurance compliance.
  • Accountable for the review and development of the department budget. Evaluate processes and projects for cost-effectiveness, seeking to reduce operational expenses and maximize impact on outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred
  • Minimum of six years supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience managing a clinical team
  • Experience as a DaVita IKC Market Director (Director, IKC Operations)
  • Prior P&L management experience- Preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
  • Experience working in healthcare and/or dialysis - preferred

  • Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment and ability to use computer keyboard and peripherals.

The Salary Range for the role is $129,000.00 - $205,000.00 per year.

 

 

 

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour

Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.63/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
