In this position, you will provide vocational instruction in warehouse operations and material handling to inmate students. Your work will involve evaluating and determining inmates’ potential for placement within the program’s curriculum. You will adapt curriculum materials to meet the needs of students, select or develop a variety of teaching techniques, and write individualized lesson plans. As a teacher, you will provide classroom and shop instruction. Some of your duties will include assigning homework, administering tests and quizzes, and providing final evaluations. Additionally, you will monitor inmate behavior, establish classroom rules, inventory tools, and discipline disruptive students.
