Non-Negotiable Requirements

Candidate Profile & Industry Flexibility
Our client is seeking a firm, proactive compliance manager ready to step into a Director title, drive standardization, and make risk-based decisions.
- Industry Background: Aviation/aerospace experience is preferred, but we welcome strong Managers from other heavily regulated industries—including Defense, Technology/Semiconductors, Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Manufacturing, and Global Logistics—as long as you have heavy EAR/OFAC/BIS expertise.

Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB), CUSECO, CUEO, or equivalent industry certifications.
- Working knowledge of ITAR regulations.
- Experience with duty drawback and duty relief management.
Key Responsibilities

- Classification & Data: Oversee master database determinations (ECCN, HTS, Schedule B) at high SKU volume.
- Operations & Broker Management: Provide explicit clearance instructions, enforce SLAs, and manage performance across third-party brokers and forwarders.
- Team Development: Direct, mentor, and coach a 6-person global compliance team across Miami and UK operations.
- Financial & Risk Strategy: Drive duty drawback recovery, pricing valuation optimization, and executive risk reporting.
