The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. The Cloud Sourcing, Spares, Security and Sustainability (CS4) organization within CSCP manages sourcing, strategy, and suppliers to provide cost, flexibility, and supply advantages that enable our org to become a world-class supply chain. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable, on-time performance and optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Responsibilities
  • Manage funding, tracking and escalations
  • Lead AI and process improvement initiatives 
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance tracking, capacity alignment, and issue resolution
  • Lead end-to-end supply planning, supply commitments, and risk mitigation across components or programs
  • Drive cross-functional execution with engineering, sourcing, finance, and operations to deliver on supply and business outcomes   
  • Build and manage reporting, dashboards, and business reviews to track operational performance
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; provide actionable insights to support decision-making   
  • Understand and speak to business and market conditions, uplevel insights to drive process improvements
  • Ensure continuity of supply through proactive planning, escalation management, and scenario analysis
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and operational rigor   
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align on priorities, timelines, and execution plans
  • Manage independent projects and initiatives                                                                   


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 7+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience OR equivalent experience.

 

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Similar Cloud technology industry background in supply chain management, planning, consulting, business and operations management
  • Experience in supply chain, sourcing, operations, or consulting with strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes in cloud ecosystem
  • Knowledge of CPU, GPU, FPGA and custom silicon providers
  • Excellent program management and organizational skills
  • Strong data story telling skills using PPT
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into insights   
  • Experience with data tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, PPT) and building reporting solutions   
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present to leadership
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous environment
  • Self driven and can identify and own areas of opportunity 


Supply Planning IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900.00 - $203,600.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400.00 - $222,600.00 per year.
