Description

Plans and coordinates the manufacturing workflow to assure customer demand are complied. 



Responsibilities

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

Accountable for:

  • Scheduling (Proactive Operational Planning)
  • Working Order Cycle
  • Reporting Productions Metric
  • Communication & Negotiation- Schedule   
  • Raw Materials Inventory Supplies
  • Inserts Inventory Supplies
  • WIP Management
  • Finished Goods Management
  • Supply Chain Performance Indicators Management and Improvement
  • Agreeing MPS requirements for Manufacturing
  • Printing & Publishing monthly MPS (four weeks before month)
  • For Secondary Packaging, send DC Capacity info and analyze SKU as per capacity
  • Preparing monthly detailed schedule 
  • Day to day capacity utilization Supply Chain advice
  • Assuring Compliance with Laws & Regulations
  • Generation of Purchases Requisition
  • Complies with the Quality Systems Regulation (QSR) and the Safety and Occupational Health policies and procedures.

 

Assists in:

  • Determining 6-12 months line capacity
  • Capacity Consumption projection (CCU) (1-5 years)
  • Simulating Scenarios to capacity based in management inputs
  • Labor cost (Budget/ Forecasting)
  • Quarterly Forecast
  • Unit RM Usage and Inventory Optimization
  • Unit MRO, Including Spare Parts Inventory Optimization
  • WIP and FG Inventories Targeting $'s
  • Cost Modeling for Process Improvement
  • Non-Conformance WIP Management
  • Identifying resources availability for Manufacturing
  • Production Line set-up
  • Assuring production goals are achieved for Manufacturing
  • Assuring Readiness of Manufacturing Requirements for the Product Transfer
  • Analyzing schedule vs. capacity
  • Reviewing shortage materials with suppliers
  • Material procurement packaging design
  • Providing Direction
  • Monitoring Unit Performance
  • Providing Capabilities to Work Unit
  • Managing Strategic Relation & Partnerships
  • Optimizing Unit Performance
  •  

  • Actively Participates in:
  • Product Rationalization Analysis (Non-Cyclic)
  • Distributing and entering in Budget files all production vols. from planning
  • Reporting Final Unit Budget
  • Unit MRO, Incl. Spare Parts Price Optimization Awareness 
  • Unit Labor Headcount Targeting (Budget/ Forecast)
  • Reconcile Headcount Forecast/ Budget
  • Unit Capacity Utilization $'s
  • Investigating Quality Feedback
  • Coordinating production improvements implementation
  • Preparing Wet batch record
  • Improving Process KPIs performance
  • Designing and Coordinating Engineering Tests/ Q's
  • Assuring Readiness of Manufacturing Requirements for the Optimization Efforts
  • Implementation of Optimization Efforts
  • Executing TPM/ PM/ PDM activities in Mfg. according to schedule
  • Identifying target inventory
  • Defining detailed schedule for unlabeled 
  • Inventory/ order monitoring 
  • Managing material return and discrepancies in receiving/ invoices
  • Budget Development and Administration
  • Vacations & Overtime Administration for Non- Exempt

  • Quality System Responsibilities

  • Complies with the Quality System Regulation (QSR).
  • Executes job responsibilities as established in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Follows the documentation procedures.
  • Completes training for the qualification and certification, as required, to execute the job.

  • Safety & Occupational Health Responsibilities

  • Complies with Safety and Occupational Health Policy and procedures.
  • Complies with Hazardous Communication program. 
  • Notifies immediately all accidents or incidents occurred in work area.
  • Complies with the usage, inspection and maintenance of the personal protective equipment required, if applicable.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing flow and logistics
  • Knowledge of MRPII, BPCS
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Effective leadership
  • Expert user of PC productivity tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, and responsible person

     

     

    Experience:

  • Five to eight years of experience performing the planner function in a medical device/pharmaceutical industry 

     

     

    Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration.  APICS certifications preferable
