The Opportunity
A $70M manufacturing division of a Fortune 500 company is adding a Senior Supply Chain Analyst to lead global purchasing strategy across a complex, long-lead-time materials portfolio. This is a high-visibility role that directly influences enterprise-level supply chain decisions across two nearby facilities serving multiple industries. You'll own supplier relationships, drive cost efficiency, and help build a stronger, more resilient supply chain organization.
Your Day-to-Day
Global Purchasing & Supplier Management
- Lead purchasing strategies for complex, long-lead-time materials and components across a global supplier base
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and lead times with suppliers
- Manage supplier performance through scorecards, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support supplier evaluation, onboarding, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards
Inventory & Risk Management
- Develop purchasing plans aligned with production forecasts and business objectives
- Identify and proactively address supply chain risks — geopolitical, logistical, and capacity-related
- Drive inventory optimization through supplier consolidation, competitive sourcing, and value engineering
Data Ownership & Process Optimization
- Own purchasing master data in ERP systems, including source lists, pricing, lead times, and vendor parameters
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, improve procurement efficiency, and strengthen inventory performance
- Use analytics tools and reporting to support data-driven decisions
Cross-Functional & Leadership Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between the facility and corporate supply chain, engineering, quality, warehouse, and finance teams
- Participate in new product introductions, process improvement initiatives, and long-range planning
- Mentor junior supply chain analysts and contribute to building a high-performing procurement team
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 4+ years of supply chain or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on ERP experience; SAP strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI
- Experience purchasing production materials or manufacturing inputs
- Preferred: experience managing a global supply base and negotiating pricing, terms, and lead times
