The Opportunity

A $70M manufacturing division of a Fortune 500 company is adding a Senior Supply Chain Analyst to lead global purchasing strategy across a complex, long-lead-time materials portfolio. This is a high-visibility role that directly influences enterprise-level supply chain decisions across two nearby facilities serving multiple industries. You'll own supplier relationships, drive cost efficiency, and help build a stronger, more resilient supply chain organization.

Your Day-to-Day

Global Purchasing & Supplier Management

  • Lead purchasing strategies for complex, long-lead-time materials and components across a global supplier base
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and lead times with suppliers
  • Manage supplier performance through scorecards, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support supplier evaluation, onboarding, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards

Inventory & Risk Management

  • Develop purchasing plans aligned with production forecasts and business objectives
  • Identify and proactively address supply chain risks — geopolitical, logistical, and capacity-related
  • Drive inventory optimization through supplier consolidation, competitive sourcing, and value engineering

Data Ownership & Process Optimization

  • Own purchasing master data in ERP systems, including source lists, pricing, lead times, and vendor parameters
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, improve procurement efficiency, and strengthen inventory performance
  • Use analytics tools and reporting to support data-driven decisions

Cross-Functional & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the facility and corporate supply chain, engineering, quality, warehouse, and finance teams
  • Participate in new product introductions, process improvement initiatives, and long-range planning
  • Mentor junior supply chain analysts and contribute to building a high-performing procurement team

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 4+ years of supply chain or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on ERP experience; SAP strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • Experience purchasing production materials or manufacturing inputs
  • Preferred: experience managing a global supply base and negotiating pricing, terms, and lead times
