Position Summary:

The Senior Supply Chain Analyst will support planning, purchasing and inventory movement across the Oatey Canada network. This role will play an integral part in developing and executing the Sales & Operations Planning process and will provide data driven insights to better manage inventory for raw materials and finished goods.  The analyst will work cross-functionally with Production, DC Operations, Sales, cross-boarder teams as well as domestic and international suppliers to ensure accurate planning, purchasing and optimal inventory in the supply chain.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical acumen, expert-level Excel skills, and hands-on experience with SAP or a similar ERP system. The position reports to the Director, Operations.

Position Responsibilities:

Planning, Purchasing & Inventory Management

  • Demand planning for finished goods and raw materials.

  • Supply planning/purchasing.

  • PO tracking including working with logistics team, tracking using freight forwarder portal and other tools.

  • Work closely across Oatey Canada network on product arrivals and inventory turns.

  • Create stock transfer orders to move inventory within Canada, and from the US to Canada.

  • Calculate and maintain safety stock on all finished goods and raw materials and incorporate into planning.

  • Review all planned purchase requisitions in SAP and ensure system data is clean and up to date.

  • Communicate cross-functionally on backorders, including ETAs and other supply constraints.

  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure promo plans are included in demand forecast.

  • Maintain a rolling 12-18 month forecast (units and dollars).

  • Work with manufacturing to demand plan for raw materials based on the production plan.

  • Create purchase orders for raw materials, communicate with vendors and track full PO lifecycle.

  • Manage raw material backorders, work with manufacturing to adjust production plan as necessary to substitute items for production to ensure production site efficiency.

Cost Management

  • Monitor and report on total landed cost impacts, highlighting cost drivers.

  • Ensure optimal order quantities and frequency to achieve economies of scale.

  • Understand economic impacts on product costs and freight to influence buying and planning decisions.

  • Participate in make vs. buy discussions providing costing data points for analysis.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, procurement and/or demand planning.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system.

  • Expert-level Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights for business partners.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.

  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business analytics, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree.

Physical Activities and Other Working Conditions:

  • Associates working at Corporate sites are required to work in-person according to the Hybrid & Remote Workplace Policy.

  • This role is primarily sedentary and involves prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. Regular use of hands for typing and operating office equipment is required, along with visual focus on screens and documents. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10–15 pounds may be required. Work is performed in a climate-controlled office or remote environment with moderate noise levels.

  • Minimal travel is required.

Compensation Range for the Position:

$70,000 - $,90,000 CAD

Offer amount determined by experience and review of internal talent.
