Amazon is seeking a Senior Program Manager to support project planning and execution for the continued capacity expansion of our Global Fulfillment network. The primary role of this individual on the Project Management (PMO) team is to drive capacity projects to completion keeping them on schedule. Candidates will work with each phase of the project life cycle including build requirements, fulfillment design, planning, execution, and Launch/hand-off.

This individual will work with Capacity Planning partners to validate project requests, work with Engineering Design to coordinate proposals and milestone schedules, work with Procurement to help release purchase orders, and work with field teams to coordinate kick off meetings, and support with ongoing execution risk reporting & mitigation.

This individual will also facilitate and conduct multiple-mile intake triage for operational planning cycles that directly impacts resource planning for multi year forecasts for new builds and retrofits. In this role, the Senior Program Manager will coordinate with several functional execution teams to ascertain feasibility for a new project request, align on required inputs to drive the solution to approval, and collaborate with PMO team members regarding submitted projects for execution.






Key job responsibilities
- Facilitate/run weekly alignment meetings on network projects as well as program specific updates
- Partner with critical planning teams on project milestones (Real Estate, Capacity, Capital, Design, Startup, Robotics)
- Review Material Handling and Storage proposals for acceptable milestone schedules
- Update/maintain weekly network Engineering Project Tracker, and support Resource tracking
- Drive/follow up on milestone level delays
- Support Build Plan presentations
- Input and coordinate with Real Estate construction, Robotics, and Material Handling vendors on First Access details
- Initiate/facilitate major project kick-offs and support hand-off from planning teams to execution teams
- Escalate milestone level project issues that are impacting project schedules
- Report on engineering project updates to Senior Leadership, planning, and execution teams
- Provide Inputs and support on Program/Project Management tools and processes
- Miscellaneous support tasks (Project Data, Reporting, Whitepaper inputs, etc.)

About the team
The Global Ops Shared Services (GOSS) Program Management Office (PMO) team is a central entity in the GOSS organization helping customers with their infrastructure development plans for Inbound, fulfillment, middle mile and last mile by coordinating with the teams in global engineering services and external support teams to develop schedules, plans and set up the execution teams for success. PMO team tracks the projects from conception till closure, for any risks and blockers, and to escalate/engage the required stakeholders.

Conversion of the Business Units Plan of Records (POR) into a detailed execution plan
End-to-end project planning, monitoring and coordination of all functions involved in program execution
MHE pre-contract and change management for MHE planning
Building access map creation, solution deployment flow planning and coordination between all external partners
Change management for launch dates
GES program reporting and escalation to Senior Leadership



- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree, or MBA in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
