Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities :

  • Manage team(s) in the design and construction management of ports and marine structures including docks, marinas, ports, ferry terminals, piers, steel sheet pile structures, steel and timber pile structures, floating structures, arctic and waterfront facilities.
    Prepare proposals and fee estimates.
  • Manage and control project budgets / schedules.
  • Oversight of preparation of project deliverables including drawings, specifications and reports.
  • Coordinate the work with other disciplines.
  • Oversight of field work during construction.
  • Actively engage with internal and external clients for business development.
  • Actively encourage and support a safety-oriented culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering.
  • 10 to 15 years of project management experience in ports and marine infrastructure.
  • Marine arctic experience preferred.
  • Registered as a P.Eng in Canada, preference is in British Columbia.
  • Experience in mid-to-large-scale projects.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
