The Role

We’re seeking a Senior Manager – Procurement Strategic Project Lead to shape Tabcorp’s commercial and go-to-market procurement strategy across major enterprise initiatives. This role is perfect for a commercially minded procurement leader who can turn strategy into execution, lead complex procurement projects, negotiate high-value contracts, and influence how an organisation buys, engages suppliers, and creates value.

You’ll partner with senior leaders to define the procurement direction for priority projects—balancing commercial strategy with hands-on delivery. You’ll oversee the planning, governance and execution of procurement projects, ensuring they run on time, follow best-practice processes, and deliver the intended commercial and operational outcomes. From setting go-to-market plans, leading negotiations, driving project delivery, uplifting buying channels and supporting enterprise transformation, you’ll ensure Tabcorp makes commercially sharp, strategically aligned decisions every time.

Specifically, you will:

  • Lead commercial strategy and go-to-market planning for major procurement initiatives—ensuring clear sourcing strategies, negotiation approaches and commercial outcomes
  • Manage procurement project pipelines and governance to enable timely sourcing, structured delivery, vendor engagement and contract negotiation
  • Deliver measurable commercial benefits through structured cost-saving initiatives, negotiation excellence, and improved decision-support
  • Lead and contribute to procurement project delivery streams, ensuring milestones, risks, dependencies and reporting are tightly managed
  • Establish a single procurement front door and clearly defined buying channels to enable a simplified, scalable operating model
  • Co-design guided buying and channel solutions with external providers, including RFIs, market scans, project evaluation and commercial modelling
  • Lead delivery and change management for pilot implementations and project roll-outs, ensuring adoption, optimisation and continuous commercial improvement

What You’ll Bring

You’re a commercial-savvy procurement leader with the ability to design strategy, manage complex procurement projects, and execute with precision. You know how to constructively challenge, negotiate strong outcomes, manage stakeholders, and bring clarity to complex delivery environments. You also bring:

  • Proven negotiation experience, including developing sourcing strategies, leading multi-party negotiations, and shaping contractual terms
  • Strong experience across sourcing, category management or supplier management, with a focus on commercial value creation
  • Advanced project leadership capability, with experience running complex procurement projects, GTM processes, supplier evaluations and delivery programs
  • Deep understanding of commercial frameworks, contract management, risk and regulatory considerations
  • Experience uplifting procurement processes, channels or P2P systems (e.g., guided buying, buying desks, catalogue solutions)
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, present commercial insights, and guide decision-making at ELT level
