Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager, Procurement Specialist! 

In this role, The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and services required for elevator manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely availability of quality parts at competitive costs while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain. 

Responsibilities 

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, electronics, and structural components used in elevator systems. 

  • Conduct RFQs, RFPs, and competitive bidding to achieve best-cost sourcing. 

  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and long-term agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies. 

  • Monitor supplier performance through KPIs such as delivery adherence, quality, cost, and responsiveness. 

  • Manage purchase requisitions (PR) and convert them into purchase orders (PO) in the ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.). 

  • Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and new product development. 

  • Coordinate with logistics for inbound deliveries and customs clearance (if applicable). 

  • Resolve issues related to delivery delays, part shortages, and discrepancies. 

  • Identify costsaving opportunities through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and localization initiatives. 

  • Work closely with engineering for alternative material or supplier development. 

  • Should have good communication skills and able to negotiate with suppliers 

  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams to understand material requirements. 

  • Address quality issues and support root cause analysis with suppliers. 

  • Participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects for sourcing new components. 

 

Qualifications we seek in you! 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Significant experience in working with Sourcing Domain and in Procurement 

  • Knowledge of Should Costing, cost breakdown analysis, and supplier audits. 

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills 

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, casting, electronics). 

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics). 

  • Knowledge of Should Costing, cost breakdown analysis, and supplier audits. 

  • Engineering Graduate is preferred

 The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $135,000 The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity
