Senior Manager, Logistics

The Position

iD Tech is looking for a Senior Manager, Logistics to oversee warehouse operations, vendor management, and resource planning. You’ll work across teams and with key stakeholders to ensure that our logistics needs are overseen in a professional manner. If you are a highly motivated and collaborative individual looking to work with a mission-driven team, this may be the role for you.  This is an in-person position working out of our Reno, NV warehouse. 

The Responsibilities

• Department Resource Planning and Budget Oversight

• Gathers equipment and supply requirements from various stakeholders.
• Creates annual department budget and amends as necessary throughout the year
• Assesses department staffing needs and partners with HR on hiring. 
• Plans for and acquires material handling equipment, shelving, and other warehousing supplies.

• Vendor Management

• Oversees the negotiation of vendor contracts, pricing, and services. 
• Assesses the performance and pricing of contracted vendors, and researches other options if needs are not being met. 
• Manages performance of contracted logistics vendors. Communicates timelines, troubleshoots issues, and creates clarity between stakeholders and vendors. 

• Staff Development and Leadership

• Assesses knowledge gaps in the department and schedules training, acquires resource materials, and coordinates knowledge sharing amongst department personnel.
• Fosters employee retention by maintaining a culture where behaviors that lead to strong team cohesion and job satisfaction are encouraged and positively reinforced. 
• Manages direct reports in the execution of their duties.

• Procurement Oversight

• Oversees the procurement of supplies, computer equipment, and other items necessary to support operations.
• Negotiates pricing with suppliers with the intent of acquiring the lowest pricing possible. 
• Assures that procurement timelines are correct and product is delivered in a timely manner.

• Oversee Shipping, Receiving, and Work Order Fulfillment

• Develops and trains department personnel on processes that assure the timely shipping and delivery of supplies.
• Develops processes that assure the accurate receiving and inventory of incoming shipments.
• Oversees the Logistics Team in the execution of work order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving procedures.

• Inventory and Asset Management

• Oversees and implements processes and software/hardware solutions to accurately track and report warehouse inventory and the status of company assets.
• Conducts periodic spot checks to assure that inventory is being properly recorded.
• Creates quality assurance procedures for assuring used equipment and inventory items are ready for future use.

The Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or other related fields. Will substitute degree requirement for equivalent education or related experience. 
• 7+ years of progressive experience in warehousing, supply chain, and logistics.
• Experience administering the following systems/tools: 
• Trouble Ticket/Help Desk Tools 
• Google Sheet Automation
• WMS systems
• Microsoft Office Applications
• Experience with computer repair and imaging desired by not required.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
