In this position, you will undertake a range of advanced engineering and technical responsibilities focused on assessing new construction products, technologies, and techniques within the New Products and Innovations Section (NPI) and the Materials Division (MD). Your tasks will include reviewing and evaluating these new offerings, providing recommendations for their application, and creating or updating specifications, drawings, and usage guidelines for approved items. You will also conduct engineering evaluations of various construction materials, such as concrete, steel, and plastics, while offering engineering support to both NPI and MD, as well as to districts and bureaus.
