About the role: The Supply Chain Network Deployment team’s mission is to coordinate, analyze and implement projects which create the optimal distribution network model for the company. Areas of focus for the team are the enablement of strategic priorities; including the implementation of warehouse automation technologies, owning the roadmap for the “Flow” Pick-to-Zero model and identifying and implementing opportunities to generate efficiencies in the flow of goods through the distribution network.

The Supply Chain Network Deployment Senior Analyst will be responsible for providing analytical and project management support to deliver on the team mission.

 

What you'll do: 

  • Coordinate the end-to-end implementation of small to large supply chain network initiatives, including network transitions, warehouse automation initiatives and logistics process changes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the company’s supply chain network, building strong cross-functional knowledge.
  • Support the Flow Pick-to-Zero roadmap, responding to inquiries from warehouse, replenishment, transportation, and merchandising teams.
  • Analyze warehouse, transportation or replenishment data on an ad-hoc basis to answer network related questions or support.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses on potential changes to the supply chain network, including improving store service, increasing labour productivity, reducing inventory and strengthening transportation efficiency.
  • Create presentations to present different options to supply chain management (up to VP level).
  • Engage stakeholders from different backgrounds and areas of the business to understand project requirements, and to ensure they are completing any project related tasks.
  • Provide on-site support during project implementation as required, occasionally outside standard business hours.

What you bring: 

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent) is ideal.
  • 3 – 5 years of related experience in an analytical, engineering or project coordination role; ideally in a retail or supply chain environment.
  • A curious mindset and the ability/desire to learn new concepts and processes quickly.
  • An analytical mind with the ability to take an analytics request and turn it into actionable insight.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, presenting and working with colleagues/vendors/customers from varying backgrounds.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, and database querying (e.g. SQL, Access, SAS Enterprise Guide) is strongly preferred.
  • AutoCAD experience is considered an asset
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills required for communicating to all levels within the organization 
  • A self-starter with demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment 
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines 
  • Proven ability to respond to new situations and work in a constantly changing environment 
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse management and/or replenishment/forecasting systems and strategies 
  • Must have the ability to travel off-site for meetings or to support projects, potentially on weekends and overnight.
