Security Officer - Access Operations

As a Security Officer Access Operations in Minooka, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide strong customer service and communication to help address security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a busy distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or shipping documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to warehouses, loading areas, and other restricted locations.
• Observe truck traffic, trailer activity, and visitor movement; document arrivals, departures, and/or unusual activity in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, gate areas, dock doors, and perimeter to help to deter security-related concerns and report conditions that need attention.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
