About The Role:
The Concert Operations Manager at The Rooftop at Pier 17 is a pivotal role overseeing front-of-house operations, ensuring the delivery of seamless and exceptional service to all guests. Operating within the vibrant atmosphere of the rooftop, this role requires adept management skills to handle various aspects of day-to-day operations. Additionally, the Concert Operational Manager is responsible for ensuring an outstanding experience for both bar patrons and concert attendees during rooftop concerts. This position is seasonal and approximate length would be from April to October.
What You Will Do
Direct and supervise all front-of-house activities, maintaining high service standards and guest satisfaction
Ensure the seamless flow of service, responding to guest needs, and maintaining an impeccable standard of hospitality
Act as the Operational Manager during rooftop concerts, overseeing logistics, coordination, and ensuring a smooth event execution
Lead and motivate the front-of-house team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Cultivate positive guest relations, address concerns, and contribute to an overall positive guest experience
Partner with the kitchen staff to ensure proper food presentation and timely preparation
Collaborate with other department heads to synchronize efforts and ensure operational efficiency
Address challenges promptly and effectively, taking appropriate actions to maintain service standards
Adapt seamlessly to the dynamic environment of rooftop bar operations, especially during concert events
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and licensing requirements, maintaining a secure and enjoyable environment
Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company
Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need
About You:
A minimum of two years’ experience working in a fast-paced and high-volume settings
Familiarity with concert operations is highly desired
Commitment to maintaining high service standards and delivering exceptional guest experiences
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
Organization and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
POS and computer literate with the ability to learn and adapt to using all programs
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with demonstrated emotional intelligence in team management
Professional demeanor, polished appearance with the ability to exceed guest's expectations
Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong work ethic and customer-focused approach
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be passionate, entrepreneurial, and dedicated to success
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis).
Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
Compensation: $70k – $80k
