School to Work - Logistics

We are looking for a talented School to Work - Logistics student to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Cummins Inc. facility in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

•    Support the Logistics Functional Excellence team with data analytics, PowerBI dashboard creation, warehousing key performance metric creation and reporting. 
•    Assist with Blue Yonder warehouse management system deployment projects in selected US sites.
•    Implement at least 1 process improvement that directly impacts safety, productivity, or employee satisfaction at a distribution facility 

To be successful in this role you will need the following: 

•    Strong data science skills/education.
•    Proficient with Excel, PoweBI, Power Query, Python, SQL, VBA, Microsoft Office suite.
•    General knowledge of warehousing/distribution practices.
•    Interested in combining data science with operational excellence.

Education, Licenses, Certification
•    Must be at least a junior in high school and 16 years of age.
•    Current student in MS in Supply Chain Analytics or similar programs is highly preferred

Skills (nice to have):

•    Previous experience in distribution and warehousing
•    Previous experience with any warehouse management system.
