Do you turn regulations into practical routines? Can you investigate an incident in the morning, build training in the afternoon, and align a cross-functional team by day’s end? If so, you’ll thrive as our SHE Operations Manager.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain site-wide SHE programs that meet OSHA, EPA, and state requirements.
  • Co-develop and deliver training with the training department to ensure a safe, secure workplace.
  • Lead incident and illness investigations; implement corrective and preventive actions and verify effectiveness.
  • Drive Human Performance principles through structured learning teams, practical tools, and coaching.
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, and HR to resolve safety issues and embed best practices.
  • Support Worker’s Compensation claims: documentation, follow-up, and return-to-work coordination.
  • Facilitate the employee Safety Committee to elevate frontline engagement and solutions.
  • Conduct and follow up on audits to uncover hazards and mitigate risk.
  • Coordinate plant security: serve as the point of contact for the security company and align on procedures.
  • Manage environmental elements including hazardous materials, air permits, and regulatory reporting.

What You Bring

  • BS in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline, or similar, plus 5+ years of EHS experience.
  • Preferred credentials: CIH, CSP, and/or CHP.
  • Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets) and comfort with data-driven decisions.
  • Expert knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state-specific regulations.
  • Experience with hazardous materials programs, air permitting, and environmental reporting.
  • Clear communicator and collaborative leader with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage pressure, juggle priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to respond to emergencies and adjust hours as needed.
