What You’ll Do:
The Purchasing Coordinator will support procurement activities for raw materials, manufacturing components, and finished goods for buy/sell operations. You will play a key role in ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting inventory, logistics, and production requirements.
This position is ideal for a proactive and organized professional with strong analytical and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Driving Responsibilities:
- Source, purchase, and coordinate the supply of raw materials, manufacturing components, and finished goods.
- Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production, planning, and warehouse teams to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, order status, and delivery schedules.
- Track and expedite outstanding orders to prevent production interruptions.
- Assist with supplier evaluations, performance monitoring, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate inbound shipments and work closely with logistics providers to ensure efficient transportation and delivery.
- Support customs documentation and compliance requirements for international shipments.
- Resolve issues related to supplier quality, delivery discrepancies, and invoice variances.
- Prepare purchasing reports, spend analysis, and inventory-related metrics as required.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
What You Bring:
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export documentation, and international trade compliance.
- Experience coordinating domestic and international logistics and transportation.
- Experience using ERP systems, particularly Epicor ERP.
- Professional supply chain or procurement certifications (e.g., SCMP, CPIM, CPSM)
