Summary

We are currently seeking an organized, detail-oriented Purchaser / Procurement Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating materials, equipment, parts, and supplies required to support daily drilling operations and field projects.

This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience managing vendor relationships and inventory requirements for heavy equipment or industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and purchase drilling supplies, parts, tools, PPE, fuel, and equipment
  • Obtain quotes and negotiate pricing with vendors and suppliers
  • Maintain inventory levels and coordinate deliveries to remote job sites
  • Track purchase orders, invoices, and shipping schedules
  • Work closely with operations, mechanics, warehouse staff, and site supervisors to ensure material availability
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Monitor costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements
  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and budgets
  • Assist with inventory control and stock management

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous purchasing or procurement experience
  • Experience in mining, diamond drilling, construction, or industrial sectors considered a strong asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and inventory/purchasing software
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment parts and industrial supplies is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
