You’re tertiary qualified and experienced in facilities or property maintenance and you’re a driven, highly self-motivated individual looking for that next step in your career. Whether you are experienced in the industry or not, if you have held the same or similar positions previously, we welcome your application.
You’re a natural leader, and you thrive in a fast-paced team environment. Working closely with the General Manager Property and supported by our dedicated team of Maintenance Officers and contractors, this role provides oversight of Whiddon’s maintenance and compliance requirements.
Spanning multiple locations across metropolitan, regional, rural and remote NSW, with an initial focus on North Northwest NSW & QLD, you have a love of travel, and you are a people person with the ability to engage with various communities. You have a real knack for building strong working relationships with key stakeholders, and driving key property related projects, including contractor coordination to achieve timely outcomes.
Your priority is ensuring that high quality, safe environments are available for our clients, residents, families, team members and other stakeholders and you understand the importance of forward planning.
You are no stranger to preventative maintenance programming, budget management, daily asset maintenance system operations, beautification, sustainability projects and minor less complex Capital Works delivery. You are experienced in developing and implementing maintenance and refurbishment activities and you are knowledgeable in legislative and regulatory compliance.
Ideally, you will be located in NSW, preferably in Mid - North Coast or Northern Rivers (although we are flexible for the successful candidate), with your focus being on our services in our southern region, though crossovers do happen on occasion.
We are a not-for-profit organisation, but more importantly, we’re like one big family and treat each of our residents, families, and team members with the same levels of passion, care, and respect.
We’re hoping you’ll join our fantastic Whiddon family on a permanent full-time basis. While our Support Services team is located in Glenfield, the focus for this role covers northern NSW including the northern rivers region, south-east QLD and out to the far west into Narrabri, Moree and Bourke.
