Production Planner

Toromont Reman is looking for a Production Planner to join our team!

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy/Programs and initiatives
• Collaborate with Exchange team to deliver completed products by the established Promise Date
• Anticipate resource needs, develop accurate production schedules, & manage work orders (WIP)
• Plan schedules in electronic format for a seven day work week
• Provide proactive communication to Exchange team to keep our customers informed
• Attend production shop meetings with Exchange so relevant information is relayed to Production team
• Co-ordinate arrivals into the production shop with Exchange team
• Communicate add bills, shipping stand, and core discrepancies to Exchange team
• Order standard parts kits prior to start of production
• Create and manage local purchases, issue purchase orders, follow up with vendors to ensure promise date timelines are met
• Create quotes for Exchange team using Parts and Service Quoter
• Assist with warranty/goodwill processing as needed
• Coordinate AFA with Quality Assurance and Technical Services

Must-haves for this role:

• Attention to detail (accuracy in parts kit BOM’s, standard labor targets, promise dates, & WO details)
• Customer Centric, with excellent relationship management, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Proactive mindset for anticipating resource needs and communication with Exchange, Process Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams
• Self-motivated, Innovative and Energetic team player who can work effectively work in a high demand fast paced environment
• Problem Solving and Adaptability, respond quickly to disruptions, and resource shortages
• Computer knowledge including AMPS, Scheduler, TCMS, Excel, Word, and DBS
• Knowledge of CAT SIS, or experience with Toromont parts operations would be an asset
• Willing and able to work flexible hours in support of business needs
• Post-Secondary Education with technical focus and/or 5yrs proven experience in a comparable industrial environment
