Description:

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Production Planner will lead demand planning, production scheduling and brewery capacity planning for the West Region, delivering a balanced inventory portfolio for full goods. Identify and communicate risk and stock concerns with Material Planning, Operations, Sales & Marketing and logistics, working collaboratively to derive solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Demand & Capacity planning to develop Annual Volume & Shifting schedule (RCCP); balancing inventory levels, production efficiencies and maintenance downtime
  • Maintain 6 week Master Production schedule, including weekly brew planning and weekly production schedule
  • Proactively evaluate inventory levels, production & brewing capacities and efficiency attainment, in order to achieve target customer service levels
  • Track and maintain Production and brewing Attainment Metrics
  • Ensure that all operating departments and logistics are aligned on plan and proactively communicate any changes to the schedule and the implications of those changes to the organization
  • Work with brewing, packaging and distribution to continually evaluate ways to schedule that result in further optimization of the supply chain
  • Understand complexities, capabilities and constraints of the brewery and work with operating departments to manage assets in the most efficient manner
  • Understand Sales and Marketing priorities and create plans to mitigate risks associated with key strategies.
  • Submit monthly LE Inventory & Production reports to Finance
  • Track and maintain Supply Chain metrics and Scorecard
  • Support and recommend continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support adherence to quality and food safety standards as required
  • Perform other related duties as required
     

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain management, logistics or related field. Professional designation (CAPICS, SCMP Professional Logistician) considered an asset
  • Minimum 3 years related planning experience required with knowledge of supply chain systems preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate level Excel skills required
  • Understanding of MRP/DRP applications as well as Inventory Management principles
  • Demonstrated relationship building capability and ability to influence
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial impact of business decisions
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to evaluate requirements, transactional discrepancies, and implement corrective action required
  • Ability to manage a dynamic environment involving conflicting priorities with a high sense of urgency
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Acceptable criminal record check
  • Ability to demonstrate behaviours compatible with organizational values
  • Bilingual in English and French (Quebec only)
     

Working Conditions

  • Manual dexterity required for prolonged computer use
  •  On-site, Monday to Friday
