Responsibilities
  • Lead daily team meetings to communicate goals, priorities, and safety reminders.
  • Coordinate work schedules and allocate resources to meet production targets.
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching, feedback, and training as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, quality checks, and team attendance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to resolve production issues promptly.
  • Supports achievement of day‑to‑day production objectives with meaningful impact on business, material flow, and equipment performance. 
  • Performs tasks that are frequently non‑routine and require adaptability.

  • Makes adjustments or recommends improvements to systems and processes to resolve production issues. 

  • Addresses general production-related problems that may require understanding of broader operational areas, though typically not highly complex. 

  • Communicates regularly with both internal and external partners to exchange essential production-related information. 

  • Provides and obtains information on matters of significant importance to production operations. 

  • Utilizes advanced knowledge of operational systems and standard production practices gained through prior experience and/or education. 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Support root cause analysis for quality or process deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and safety.
  • As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks.
  • Meets all production requirements and performance standards as defined by area Supervisor.

 

 

 

Travel:

  • No regular travel required; occasional training travel may occur.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in scheduling and resource planning tools.

 

Work Environment:

 

  • Standing for prolonged periods. 
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. 
  • Exposure to packaging materials and machinery.
  • May require wearing PPE such as gloves, mask and hairnet in some production areas.
  • Good communication and reliability.

 

Experience:

 

  • Typically requires 5+ years of assembly experience and prior leadership exposure.

 

Education: 

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced training or certifications preferred.
