About the team and the role:
Our Product Managers are redefining how millions of buyers discover, evaluate, and purchase items on eBay by building experiences that operate at massive scale and real-world complexity.
As a Product Manager on eBay’s Item Page team within Buyer Experience, you will own and evolve one of the most critical surfaces in the buyer journey - the place where intent turns into action. You will be responsible for defining customer needs and value, business impact, product strategy, experience design, development, experimentation, and iteration of core Item page experiences that influence conversion, buyer trust, and long-term engagement. This role sits at the intersection of buyer decision-making, seller value, and platform capabilities, and involves close partnership with engineering, design, research, analytics, and cross-functional product teams.
We’re looking for someone who is customer-obsessed, analytical, collaborative, and comfortable operating in ambiguity - someone who can balance big-picture vision with strong execution to continuously improve one of the most heavily trafficked product experiences on eBay.
Product Discovery: fall in love with the problem space, identify the jobs to be done, prioritize the customer needs, and define the alignment to the company strategy.
Roadmap Development: drive product prioritization, identifying the most important problems or hypotheses to test first. Define a roadmap that balances time-to-market and longer term investments.
Execution perfection: translate product strategy into detailed specifications, make functional and user interface design trade-offs, lead product launches and be responsible for the product successes post-launch.
Deliver against the team’s Objectives and Key Results (OKRs): Track progress against desired customer outcomes, resolve open questions and challenges, evaluate risks and communicate status to leaders and partners.
Partner closely with a cross-functional team: including design, user research, engineering, product & business partners, marketing and analytics. You’ll be responsible for communicating customer needs, business value, product requirements, and lead through technical trade-offs and architectural decisions to influence time to market.
Engage and energize the teams to create exciting new experiences that deliver customer value and achieve business goals.
2+ years of product management or related experience. Passionate about quality products.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Self-motivated and directed, entrepreneurial ability to innovate quickly and drive projects with many moving parts.
Strong analytic skills and ability to synthesize data from multiple sources
Detail-oriented, and proven experience in writing clear user stories
Experience working closely with internal partners on user research, product roadmaps, design, and development
Outstanding communication skills - verbal, written and presentation abilities.
