Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a versatile and highly organized Procurement Specialist to support procurement for a Project based position from our Head Office Location in Haileybury, ON.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials, tools, equipment, and rentals flow efficiently to support construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchasing

• Source, evaluate, & purchase required equipment & materials with an emphasis on maximizing efficiencies & minimizing costs.
• Qualify suppliers, issue requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, negotiate contracts while executing risk management strategies,
• Manages the acquisition of goods, services, or materials needed for business operations, focusing on cost-efficiency, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation.
• Identify suppliers, conduct market research, process purchase orders, and monitor compliance with company policies.
• Ensure high-quality, cost-effective purchasing.

Requirements

• Experience as a Buyer or similar role.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes and equipment rental operations.
• Previous experience in mining, industrial, or heavy construction environments preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic spreadsheet/databases for tracking.
• Excellent communication and people interaction skills.
• Valid driver’s license (for local supplier pickups).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced site environment.
• Commitment to safety procedures, PPE requirements, and working within a busy industrial setting.

Rotation: 14 Days In / 7 Days Out or 5 Days In/ 2 Days Out
Shifts: 10.5 Hours Shifts (10 hours paid with 30 min unpaid meal break)
Location: Haileybury, ON
