General Description

Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital is searching for a dedicated Procurement Specialist to be a part of our amazing team!

Under general supervision, this position completes purchasing duties for Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital. This includes reviewing purchasing requests, determining availability, securing bids, creating Agency Master Agreements (AMA), Agency Delivery Orders (ADO), Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Specifications.  In addition, this position will serve as the primary contact for vendors which includes resolving issues, maintaining records, and ensuring invoices are paid in a timely manner. This position maintains a West Virginia Purchasing Card and is responsible for reconciling transactions within the required time frame. 

This is a tobacco free facility.  Chosen applicants must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug and alcohol screening test.  All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and Bureau policies.   Candidate must successfully pass a background screening.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: 

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

None.

Internal Applicants Only:

One (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience as an Inventory Control Associate or in the Accounting Specialist series may substitute for the required education.

Substitution Information: Additional education and experience may be substituted based on a year-for-year basis or as determined by the Office of Shared Administration Equivalency Chart.
