Position Description
Reporting to the Central Procurement Manager, the Procurement Specialist will support the procurement team by managing purchasing activities, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services.
Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Supplier Management: Develop and manage strategic relationships with key MRO and spare parts suppliers. Negotiate all commercial terms to drive cost savings.
- Ensure the timely placement of purchase orders and the resolution of vendor disputes or supply chain bottlenecks.
- Integrate sustainability into the supply chain by identifying and prioritizing vendors who align with our vision and values.
Inventory Management & Optimization
- Capital Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce inventory carrying costs and improve inventory turnover ratios without compromising mill reliability.
- KPIs & Reporting: Monitor KPIs and take corrective action as needed.
Compliance
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with SOX, ISO, and internal audit requirements.
- Maintain strict segregation of duties by not holding ERP permissions for physical goods receipt or shipping, master data entry or deletion of obsolete items.
- Foster a culture of mutual respect and inclusion within the procurement team, collaborating across departments to achieve sustainable business success.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
- Proven experience in supplier management and strategic sourcing.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in office software applications, including Google Suite and SAP software.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, excel under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to timely, accurate order fulfillment.
Salary
The salary for this position is $80,000.00-$121,400.00. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
