JOB TITLE: Procurement Specialist 

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

STATUS: Full time, exempt

LOCATION: Ludington, MI, or Beaumont, TX, with up to 25% travel nationwide

SALARY RANGE: $75,000-90,000 depending on experience and interview outcome

Position Summary:

We are seeking a diligent, agile-minded, and organized individual to join our Operations team in Texas or Michigan as our Procurement Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating pricing, placing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery to support production and operational needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Must operate and work within our Mission Driven Culture Core Values and Principles and encourage others to do the same.
  • Work closely with other team members in execution, as well as CAD/engineering, to understand material needs.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, resolve issues, and negotiate pricing.
  • Build and maintain positive, professional vendor relationships.
  • Create and issue purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Track order status, confirm delivery dates, and expedite shipments when needed.
  • Communicate delays, risks, or changes proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records of pricing, lead times, and order history.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related field.
  • Able to understand and interpret basic technical drawings, part specs, or material descriptions.
  • Must be able to effectively interface with customers and vendors in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a team player and help where needed, yet motivated to work independently.
  • Comfortable with up to 25% travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or logistics environments.
  • Familiarity with lead times, material grades, and vendor sourcing strategies.
  • Understanding of inventory control principles.


Licensing & Special Requirements:

  • Subject to a criminal background check and drug screening.

Working Conditions:

Most of the work is performed in a warehouse setting, or at a desk. Physical requirements of the position include walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects (50 lbs or more), climbing, crouching, operating tools, and always wearing appropriate PPE.
