Procurement Specialist

The Intermediate Procurement Specialist, CMO plays a key role in supporting procurement activities by sourcing materials and services, managing supplier relationships, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely deliveries. This position also contributes to strategic sourcing initiatives, contract management, and continuous improvement efforts that drive cost savings and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Obtain quotes, issue purchase orders, and expedite material and service deliveries
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance
- Negotiate and manage contracts and long-term agreements
- Analyze market conditions, including pricing, availability, lead times, and supplier capacity
- Develop and support category sourcing strategies that create value and reduce costs
- Use ERP/MRP systems to manage contracts, procurement activities, spend, and invoice reconciliation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost analysis activities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve supply chain and procurement challenges
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain and procurement processes
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems is considered an asset
