In this position, you will play a key role in supporting the department’s procurement operations by analyzing assigned procurement requirements and ensuring they align with established policies, procedures, and best practices. You will review requests, determine the appropriate procurement method, and provide guidance to both central office and field programs on the most effective strategies for acquiring goods and services. Your work will help ensure that purchases are conducted efficiently, ethically, and in full compliance with state regulations.
You will also serve as a resource to vendors, explaining applicable rules, policies, and procedures to help them navigate the procurement process successfully. This includes answering questions, clarifying requirements, and promoting a clear understanding of expectations to support fair and competitive purchasing.
