Procurement Manager
The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing all procurement and purchasing activities across Crimson Group of Companies (CGC) to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of materials, equipment, and services. This role develops procurement strategies, negotiates vendor contracts, and builds strong supplier relationships to support operational needs across the Permian region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all purchasing and procurement needs across the CGC.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that support operational goals, ensure supply continuity, and reduce costs.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure competitive advantages and long-term value.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including managing performance, evaluating risks, and leveraging partnerships for operational efficiency.
- Consolidate suppliers where beneficial to optimize spend, reduce redundancy, and streamline procurement channels.
- Evaluate purchasing practices to eliminate duplicate buys, reduce inefficiencies, and improve cost control.
- Monitor overall spend to ensure financial accountability and maximize purchasing value.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement improvements across procurement processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (operations, sales, finance) to forecast material needs and ensure timely availability.
- Leverage historical usage data to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Work closely with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including tracking, reporting, invoicing, and reconciliation.
- Develop and implement procurement policies, systems, and best practices that improve efficiency.
- Conduct audits and assess procurement and inventory records to identify variances, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
- Train and support internal teams on procurement processes and purchasing expectations.
- Create, monitor, and manager Inventory KPI’s
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms and pricing.
- Strong time-management abilities, with experience managing multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
- Effective communicator able to coordinate between departments and maintain professional vendor relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, electrical and instrumentation, and/or compression services strongly preferred.
