Job Description

Attention Procurement professionals seeking exciting career opportunities in the chemical industry!  Tessenderlo Kerley, an innovative leader in the markets it serves, is currently looking to hire a world-class Procurement Manager who can significantly impact the company’s profitability and sustainability.  

As a Procurement Manager at Tessenderlo Kerely, you will be seen as an invaluable advisor to Senior Leadership.  You will develop and lead procurement strategies and implement and enforce best-in-class purchasing processes which are agile, flexible, and anticipate market changes.

We are looking for someone with a broad range of procurement experience and who has deep knowledge of the supplier value proposition for the raw materials we purchase.  The ideal candidate will have a background in the Chemical/Process Industry and be experienced in purchasing raw materials, particularly in Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, and Sulfur.

Other responsibilities to expect as the Procurement Manager are:

  • Develop and lead all TKI procurement and purchasing strategies
  • Develop and cultivate strategic internal and external relationships necessary to execute our 4S Strategy
  • Coach and mentor team members
  • Identify and recommend investments to improve our competitive advantage
  • Understand the raw material supplier value chain and our relevance in the market
  • Identify and recommend new business opportunities aligning with our strategies

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in business or related area with at least 5 years of procurement experience
    • Expected  to be in the HQ office (Phoenix, Arizona) 5 days a week (relocation is available) with travel out of the office estimated at 20-30%
    • Chemical/Process Industry background with experience purchasing raw materials (preferably in Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sulfur)
    • Leadership aptitude to create momentum and foster organizational change
    • Strong project, process, and people management skills
