About the Job
Are you an organized, detail-oriented procurement professional looking to build your career in a dynamic and essential area of supply chain management? We are seeking a Procurement Coordinator, Energy (15-month contract) to join our growing team.
Reporting to the Procurement Director, you will play a critical role in managing the full procurement lifecycle for fuel and energy purchases across our operations. From purchase order management and inventory reconciliation to supplier data administration and energy cost tracking, you will help ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant procurement processes that directly support operational success.
This 15-month contract opportunity offers valuable exposure to energy procurement, supplier management, inventory controls, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with Procurement, Accounting, Operations, and external suppliers while contributing to key business initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Location: Oakville or Caledon Office (Hybrid – up to 2 optional work-from-home days per week)
Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage the end-to-end procurement process for fuel, natural gas, and hydro purchases across multiple operating locations.
Create, track, and reconcile purchase orders while ensuring accurate inventory and consumption reporting.
Administer fuel card programs, including card management, compliance monitoring, reporting, and issue resolution.
Monitor energy usage and costs, reconcile invoices, and support supplier contract renewals and rate verification.
Maintain accurate supplier records within the ERP system and support data integrity, compliance, and fraud prevention controls.
Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Accounting, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate procurement transactions.
Support month-end reconciliations, reporting, forecasting, and cost analysis activities.
Identify and support process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
Provide procurement and administrative support as required to meet business objectives.
Here’s What You Need
1–2 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, administration, or related experience.
Experience working with ERP systems, purchase orders, supplier records, or inventory reconciliation is advantageous.
A three- or four-year degree from a recognized university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence in good standing.
Knowledge of business disciplines such as procurement, finance, accounting, administration, information systems, or related fields is considered an asset.
