Procurement Associate

Under general supervision, the incumbent completes all purchasing for Pruntytown Correctional Facility. This includes reviewing purchasing requests, determining availability, securing bids, serving as the primary contact for vendors and shipping, resolving issues, maintaining records, reconciling P-cards, and ensuring bills are paid in a timely manner. The incumbent must adhere to all regulatory DCR purchasing guidelines and State financial regulations. This position may also serve as backup for other duties within this pay grade in the Business Office.

Training: High school diploma or the equivalent.
AND
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid clerical experience which included purchasing supplies and maintaining inventory.
OR
Substitution: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience.
