Description of Service Opportunity:    

Under the direction of the Office of Student Services and Chief Operating Officer, the Summer Principal, OSS ESY Operations will be responsible for all 11 month sub-separate academic program activities during the 2026 Summer learning period: July 1 - July 31st.

Responsibilities include:

Support faculty and staff within the 11 month academic programs during the summer learning period, July 1 - July 31st. Programs will take place in the following school buildings: King Open/ CSUS, Haggerty, Tobin/DVUS, Morse, Peabody, and CRLS

Collaborate with the Department of Special Education to support effective implementation of special education, SEI, and other specialized services to students, including IEPs and 504 plans.

Develop and implement effective structures to promote and support community building and effective, respectful communications and relationships among students, faculty, staff, and parents.

Work collaboratively with the summer program leaders and building administrators with regard to matters involving the safety, health and welfare of students, use and care of facilities, and consistent implementation of building-wide and district policies and objectives.

Meet regularly, and maintain effective communications with summer program leaders, and district administrators to assure a consistently high quality, standards-based educational program.

Schedule:
July 1 - July 31, 2026; (Summer Program Dates), 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

 

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

At least 5 years work experience in a sub-separate special education education setting.
Master’s degree in educational leadership, educational administration or equivalent major.
Certifications: Teacher of Students with Moderate and/or Severe Disabilities, all grades. Principal/Assistant Principal 5-9 or K-8, Special Education Administrator preferred. Demonstrated work toward certification will be considered.

Demonstrated leadership ability and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications, and administrative skills, with proven ability to establish high educational standards, and positively motivate staff towards assuring academic excellence for all students. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across a broad range of diverse constituencies.

 

Length of Contract:

July 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026

 

Contract Amount

Not exceed $12000.00

 

 

Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exempt employee and have worked more than 40 hours a week, you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours
