We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Plumbing & HVAC Sales Representative to drive growth within our Plumbing and Heating division while leveraging Hill Supplies' full product offering to support customers throughout the lifecycle of their facilities and projects.

Position Summary

The Plumbing & HVAC Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with mechanical contractors, plumbers, industrial facilities, municipalities, engineering firms, institutional accounts, and commercial end users.

This role is focused on generating new business opportunities, securing project specifications, quoting major projects, and growing market share throughout the Industrial, Commercial, and MRO sectors.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding of plumbing, hydronic heating, HVAC, and PVF systems, combined with a proven track record of sales success within the wholesale distribution or manufacturing industry.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development

  • Prospect and develop new Industrial, Commercial, Institutional, MRO, and Municipal accounts.
  • Identify project opportunities from design through construction and maintenance phases.
  • Build relationships with mechanical and plumbing contractors, facility managers, municipalities, consulting engineers, and purchasing departments.
  • Generate specifications and position Hill Supplies products early in the project cycle.

Account Management

  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships through regular site visits and strategic account planning.
  • Develop long-term partnerships by delivering exceptional service and technical support.
  • Expand customer engagement by introducing Hill Supplies' complete portfolio of Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Lighting, Industrial, and Safety products.

Project Sales & Estimating

  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Prepare competitive quotations, project take-offs, and product alternatives.
  • Coordinate project pricing with manufacturers and internal estimating teams.
  • Manage projects from quotation through order fulfillment and completion.

Technical Sales Support

  • Provide technical product recommendations and application guidance.
  • Assist customers with product substitutions, value engineering, and specification compliance.
  • Stay current on industry standards, codes, regulations, and emerging technologies.

Vendor & Industry Engagement

  • Collaborate with manufacturers and agency representatives to identify opportunities and secure project support.
  • Participate in industry associations, trade events, customer appreciation events, and networking opportunities.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitive activity, and upcoming projects.

Sales Performance

  • Develop and execute territory growth plans.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales, margin, and new account acquisition targets.
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity, opportunity pipelines, and sales forecasts.

Pay: $65,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:
