Fairfax County’s Wastewater Management Program is a nationally recognized Utility of the Future and its wastewater treatment plant, the 67 million gallon per day Noman M. Cole Water Recycling Facility (NMCWRF), is a multiple year NACWA Platinum Award winning facility. If you would like to join a creative, collaborative, innovative team doing meaningful work, then Wastewater Treatment Division is the place for you. Under general guidance of Assistant Division Director (Operations), serves as a First Line Supervisor, managing and supervising the operation of a Large 24/7 Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Plant is required by law to meet stringent effluent limitations established by State and Federal Regulatory Agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or G.E.D. issued by a state department of education and eight years of experience as an operator in a Class I wastewater facility which includes one year of experience in a position similar to a Plant Operator III.
