Job Overview
We're looking for a hands-on People Operations Specialist to support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, engagement, HR systems, policy administration, workplace safety, and company events. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, enjoys building structure from the ground up, and is passionate about creating a great employee experience for both warehouse and office teams.
You'll wear multiple hats, take ownership of key people operations processes, and work closely with leaders across the business to drive meaningful improvements. We're looking for someone proactive, resourceful, and excited by the opportunity to make a visible impact on how our teams operate, grow, and succeed.
Duties
- Manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for warehouse and office employees, including candidate coordination, workforce planning, and new hire setup.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and employee lifecycle processes through Rippling.
- Own the rollout and maintenance of company policies, employee resources, and compliance initiatives.
- Participate in workplace health and safety initiatives, including JHSC activities, inspections, training, and compliance programs.
- Support employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building initiatives that strengthen the employee experience across the organization.
- Coordinate company events, team-building activities, and employee appreciation programs, managing logistics, communications, and vendor relationships as needed.
- Provide day-to-day people operations support and continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and employee experience.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in People Operations, HR, Employee Experience, Office Management, or a related role.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee programs in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Rippling experience is an asset).
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with workplace health and safety programs or willingness to participate in JHSC activities.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership who thrives in high-growth environments and can drive initiatives from idea to execution.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and balancing strategic projects with day-to-day operational responsibilities.
