Description

The Parking Operations Manager oversees daily shift operations from open to close, ensuring smooth, guest-focused service and safe, efficient valet experience. The role blends floor presence with administrative accountability — managing ticket, key, and car reconciliation, coordinating with the client on operational needs, and closing each shift with payroll review, reporting, and incident documentation. The ideal candidate leads by example; coaches staff in the moment and keeps operations running without disruption.

Pay: $72,000- $80,000 per year

Responsibilities

Operations

  • Oversee all daily parking and valet operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and service quality
  • Monitor traffic patterns and adjust staffing and lane management for peak and off-peak periods
  • Conduct lot inspections and recommend layout, flow, and equipment improvements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and client requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness, signage, and uniform standards across the operation

People Management

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified candidates to maintain appropriate staffing levels
  • Build and distribute employee schedules aligned with operational needs
  • Deliver coaching, performance reviews, and driving evaluations per company policy
  • Administer disciplinary actions and terminations as needed
  • Motivate and develop the team to consistently deliver exceptional service

Financial Oversight

  • Manage schedules to control labor costs within budgetary guidelines
  • Process and reconcile ticket, key, and car counts
  • Oversee ordering and replenishment of supplies, uniforms, and signage
  • Track operational expenses and recommend efficiency improvements

Client Relations

  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for the client
  • Communicate anticipated high-volume periods and coordinate staffing and logistics accordingly
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints; document and report outcomes to the client
  • Provide operational updates and recommendations as needed


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail parking operations, including garage or lot management
  • Demonstrated experience managing employees — hiring, scheduling, performance management, and development
  • Proven ability to manage fast-paced, multi-task operations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with guests, staff, and clients
  • Experience implementing and enforcing operational policies and procedures
  • Background preparing or maintaining an operational budget
  • Valid driver's license with clean MVR; able to operate standard and automatic vehicles
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valet operations experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel for reporting, scheduling, and budget tracking
  • Familiarity with parking management technology and equipment (pay stations, gate systems, PARCS software)
  • Experience with basic parking equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand continuously and perform all job functions for a full shift
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs with reasonable accommodation
  • Full range of motion required including standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods
