Wonderly Lights is a premium outdoor lighting company specializing in landscape lighting, permanent lighting, and holiday lighting installations. As we continue to grow locally and across our franchise system, we are seeking a Field Operations Lighting Manager who enjoys working outdoors, leading installation crews, and supporting franchise owners through hands-on field training and installation guidance.
This role combines field installation leadership with franchise training support, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys working alongside crews while also helping others learn and improve their installation skills.
This is not just another installer role — it’s an opportunity to help shape installation quality locally while supporting installation excellence across the Wonderly Lights franchise system.
What You’ll Do: As our Field Operations Lighting Manager, you will guide small installation crews locally while also supporting franchise owners through installation coaching and field operations guidance when needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Support installation training for franchise owners and technicians through hands-on coaching and demonstration
- Assist with developing and improving installation training materials and field best practices
- Demonstrate installation techniques during franchise support visits and training sessions
- Communicate installation standards clearly and confidently to both new and experienced technicians
- Serve as a technical resource to help franchise owners troubleshoot installation challenges
- Provide occasional on-site or virtual installation support to franchise locations
- Travel periodically to assist franchise owners with field installs and installation training support
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and resolve field issues efficiently
- Ensure crews arrive prepared with materials, tools, and equipment
- Coordinate with the Office Manager to confirm job readiness and scheduling priorities
- Support roofline holiday lighting installations when needed
- Lead landscape lighting and holiday lighting installation crews (typically 2–3 installers)
- Work alongside crews in the field and assist with installations when needed
Leadership Responsibilities: This role serves as a field leader, supporting both local operations and the success of franchise installations.

- Help ensure projects stay organized and on schedule
- Communicate job readiness and progress with the office team
- Support franchise owners with installation techniques and troubleshooting when needed
- Represent Wonderly Lights installation quality standards in the field
Qualifications:
Required:
- Experience installing landscape lighting, holiday lighting, or low-voltage lighting systems
- Comfortable working on ladders and rooftops
- Ability to lead a small crew and keep projects moving efficiently
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic electrical knowledge (transformers, wiring, connections)
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to demonstrate installation techniques clearly and confidently
- Comfortable supporting franchise owners and technicians through hands-on field training
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support franchise installation training and field support visits
Preferred (not required):
- 3+ years of outdoor or low-voltage lighting installation experience
- Experience supporting or training other installers
- Permanent lighting / RGB lighting system experience
- Landscape, irrigation, roofing, or exterior construction experience
- Low-voltage certification or electrical background
Schedule Expectations
- Primarily weekday installation work
- Some seasonal flexibility during the holiday lighting season
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Occasional travel to support franchise installation training and field support visits
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
