Operations Supervisor 

Job Description 

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily dispatch and operational activities to ensure efficient service and adherence to company standards. This role provides leadership and coaching to Operations Coordinators, supports driver performance and safety initiatives, and collaborates with internal teams to maintain smooth and effective operations throughout each shift. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Ensure dispatch and daily operations run efficiently according to operational standards while supporting roadside operations, resolving issues, and assisting with tasks that maintain workflow. 

  • Coach and support Operations Coordinators in monitoring drivers, providing guidance on road safety, break compliance, professional, and customer service, including delivering recognition, feedback, and corrective action as necessary. 

  • Analyze performance reports and work with Operations Coordinators to recognize high-performing drivers and coach those needing improvement. 

Additional Duties:  

  • Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure proper coverage for Operations Coordinators and Drivers, and review attendance reports to address issues. 

  • Maintain strong communication with management and engage internal teams as needed to drive operational results during assigned shifts. 

  • Review safety reports and collaborate with the safety department to ensure appropriate actions are taken.

  • Ability to manage high-volume operational needs, streamlining and organizing all workflows 

  • Ability to supervise and support the Operations team by providing constant guidance to employees. 

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement in learning. 

  • Expert organizational management ensuring a strong focus on workflow structure. 

  • Strong communication skills for effective internal and external collaboration. 

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement in learning. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and showcase the ability to take initiative, value collaboration, and become highly adaptable. 

  • Be able to quickly learn new applications, software, and dashboards as adopted and used within the company.  

  • Must have an active driver’s license and be approved on the company’s insurance.  

  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance as needed.
