Job Summary

Provide Management with analysis of individual machine center, departmental, product family and value stream performance, with emphasis on identifying common issues that can be worked on to improve one or more of the following:

  • Machine Utilization
  • Speed Attainment
  • Output Attainment
  • Waste Reduction
  • Improved Quality attributes
  • Decrease DPPM
  • Decrease Customer Complaints
  • Decreased Down Time
  • Improve MEI and OEE metrics
  • Data Collection through computer as well as observation and testing
  • Additional responsibilities on daily basis

Statistical Analysis to include, but not limited to: 

  • Determining Data Demographics
  • Graphical Data Analysis
  • Multi-Vari Analysis
  • Family of Variation Studies
  • With-in Part Variation Studies
  • Review of Measurement Tools for potential variation
  • Determine X (Input) and Y(Output) attributes
  • The creation of sampling plans
  • Creation of Data Collection sheets

Support the facility as the Halo Production Reporting system leader

  • Be a subject matter expert on Halo production reporting and Halo/Pi report writing with Halo, PI Datalink and Microsoft Excel.  Responsible for maintaining and improving PI production reporting system.
  • Develop displays and dashboards using Halo.
  • Have a basic understanding of the Halo & PI Network and a working knowledge of PI Tags
  • Trouble shoot Halo/ Pi Datalink reporting errors
  • Have a working knowledge of VBA programing language and its application for advanced report writing in Excel

3.) Keeps track of Inventory through managing/supporting cycle counting and daily production reports.

4.) Create & reviewing weekly and monthly MEI reports for Printing, Converting Cups, Covers and Bulkan.

5.) Insuring data accuracy in all of the Operations informational system (Laserfiche, HAQ, Halo, BPCS, MEI & OEE)

6.)Participate on Plant HACCP Steering Committee and provide assistance in determining direction, SOP compliance and appropriateness.

7.) Participation on the Recall Audit Team, being the primary source for BPCS and documentation data mining and analysis as needed.

8.)Act as Laserfiche/SOP Coordinator*, being responsible for ensuring document control, accuracy, appropriateness and compliance to the plant Food Safety Program

  •        *It is becoming increasingly important to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and 3rd party agency Food Packaging Safety compliance requirements, and by assigning one individual to coordinate the documentation functions, it will provide assurance that their interrelationships are complimentary, while meeting requirements

9.) Operations training management; maintain register of all Operations SOP’s and insure proper training & refresher train is conducted at an adequate frequency

10.) Manage all Operations new hire training and insure 30 day reviews of all probationary employees are completed

Essential Functions

  • Production Reporting and Analysis along with scrap reporting. This function maintains the business performance metrics, used to report business success throughout the organization, and provides one source of data to analyze for improvement opportunities. Accurate and consistent data used to communicate to Corporate.
  • Halo facility Support. Accurate consistent reporting and interface between Production and Halo. Continued improved analysis platform for Operations
  • Work closely with and support the Accounting Dept. as it relates to cycle counting and production reporting. Completion of tasks in a timely manner.
  • HACCP Steering Team Member
  • Laserfiche/SOP Coordinator
  • Employee vacation request database, Maintain accurate database on employee’s vacation usage and availability.
  • Document Coordinator (HACCP / SQF). Accurately document minutes of the HACCP and SQF processes.

Pay Range:  $62,250+ DOE

Job Qualifications

  • Statistical Analysis. Knowledge of Business to include: Food Packaging, Safety, GMP’s, Financials, Leadership, Industrial Psychology.  Have advanced computer skills in processes such as Pi, Excel, Access, Word, BPCS, Laserfiche.  Have ability to multi-task and handle heavy workloads at times.  Have strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Associate Degree required.  1-3 yrs analytical skills.  Prior experience with knowledge of BPCS and particularly production reporting.  Have 1-2 years of strong knowledge of Excel and Access required.

Environment

  • Work in an office setting and be able to enter and work within the production floor on assignments and projects.  Have the ability to sit, stand, walk for long periods of times when needed.  Have good eye/hand coordination to type data via computers.
